Dr. Marie-Chantale Brien named director of Intervention, Prevention and Research
Montréal, July 23, 2021 – Dr. Jacques G. Bergeron, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Québec Physicians’ Health Program (QPHP), is pleased to announce the appointments of Nicolas Ledoux to the position of interim executive director and Dr. Marie-Chantale Brien to the position of director of Intervention, Prevention and Research.
Appointment of Nicolas Ledoux
“Mr. Ledoux’s appointment is part and parcel of our efforts to ensure the continued development and impact of the QPHP,” says Dr. Bergeron. “He has been a part of the QPHP management team since 2007 as director of Administration. His management skills, leadership and in-depth knowledge of the QPHP and its context make him the perfect person to lead our team in pursuing its mission, which is so essential to the medical community.”
Ledoux has some 30 years of experience in management and customer service at non-profit organizations, including 20 years in senior management positions. In his role as director of Administration at the QPHP, he managed the finance, human resources and information technology departments. Prior to that, he spent eight years as director of customer service at Cinémathèque québécoise. Ledoux holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from the Université du Québec à Montréal.
“I am excited to take on this new challenge at an organization whose mission is now more essential than ever at a time when physician health has been brought to the forefront due to the impact of the pandemic,” says Ledoux. “With the support of an experienced team, I will strive to ensure that the QPHP continues to run smoothly and sustainably, given the successes that we have had up to now, while integrating the necessary changes in our profoundly changed professional landscape.”
